The Blackhawk Group Acquires Glendale Aero Services' MRO Business

The Blackhawk Group, a portfolio company of New State Capital Partners, has acquired the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business of Glendale Aero Services and will rebrand the operation as a Blackhawk Performance Center (BPC-Glendale). The acquisition expands The Blackhawk Group’s Performance Center network and adds specialized Cirrus SR/Vision Jet and Cessna MRO, CAPS and avionics capabilities; Glendale’s Director of Maintenance, John Fisher, will remain in place. Terms were not disclosed.

Greenbriar Equity Group Acquires West Star Aviation from The Sterling Group

Funds managed by Greenbriar Equity Group have acquired West Star Aviation, a leading business aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, from The Sterling Group. Financial terms were not disclosed; Greenbriar said it will leverage its aviation aftermarket experience to accelerate West Star's growth and enhance its service capabilities across the company's national facilities and AOG technician network.

West Star is a leading independent provider of MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services to the business aviation industry with primary locations in East Alton, Illinois; Grand Junction, Colorado; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Perryville, Missouri.

The transaction facilitates founder succession as AVI's founder retires and provides Salt Creek with a platform to support AVI's growth and geographic expansion in Colorado.

Columbia River Partners Acquires Sagetech Avionics (carveout)

Columbia River Partners (CRP), a newly formed private investment firm, completed the carveout acquisition of the avionics division now operating as Sagetech Avionics Corp, based in White Salmon, Washington. CRP acquired the business from a company in receivership and intends to expand Sagetech's product portfolio, engineering capacity and global reach to serve commercial and military unmanned aerial systems (UAS) markets.
