Shanghai Wanye Enterprises Acquires Compart Systems from Platinum Equity

Platinum Equity has sold Compart Systems Pte Ltd., a Singapore-headquartered precision-machined components manufacturer with operations in China and Malaysia, to Shanghai Wanye Enterprises for approximately $398 million. Platinum Equity said it developed Compart into a technology-driven manufacturing solutions provider through operational improvements and add-ons; Shanghai Wanye acquires the business to expand its manufacturing capabilities and growth plans.

Nichols Portland, Inc. Acquires Assets of Alpha Precision Group, LLC

Nichols Portland, Inc., a portfolio company of Altus Capital Partners, acquired the assets of Alpha Precision Group, LLC (APG). APG is a diversified metal-forming manufacturer (powder metallurgy, metal injection molding, additive manufacturing and precision valve assemblies) headquartered in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, with five plants across Pennsylvania and Michigan and over 400 employees; financial terms were not disclosed.

Main Street Capital Holdings Forms Compass Precision Platform by Acquiring Three Precision Metal Manufacturers

Main Street Capital Holdings, LLC created a new precision metal manufacturing platform, Compass Precision, LLC, by acquiring Quality Products & Machine, LLC, Advanced Machining & Tooling, LLC, and Tri-Tec Industries Inc. All three acquired companies are based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area; Compass Precision will consolidate capabilities (machining, EDM, fabrication, assembly and test) to serve aerospace & defense, medical and industrial customers and pursue further add-on acquisitions.

KKSP Precision Machining Acquires Prime Engineered Component

KKSP Precision Machining, a Mill Point Capital portfolio company, has acquired Prime Engineered Component, Inc., a Watertown, Connecticut-based manufacturer of aluminum, brass and stainless steel custom metal components. The acquisition expands KKSP’s capacity and capabilities—adding Prime’s 85+ multi-spindle screw machines and CNC equipment—and extends the KKSP platform into the Northeast U.S.

Precision Aerospace Holdings Acquires Clearwater Engineering

Dallas-based Precision Aerospace Holdings, a portfolio company of Juniper Capital Management and CIC Partners, has acquired Clearwater Engineering, a Derby, Kansas precision machining and CNC milling company serving commercial and government aerospace customers. The add-on deal (closed March 7, 2025) expands Precision's Midwest footprint, adds machining capacity and capabilities, and brings approximately 40 Clearwater employees into the Precision platform.

Marco Rubber & Plastics Acquires Premiere Precision Components from KLH Capital

Marco Rubber & Plastics, a portfolio company of Align Capital Partners, has acquired Premiere Precision Components from KLH Capital. Premiere, headquartered in Holiday, Florida, is a value-added manufacturer of custom molded rubber, plastic, and metal components serving end markets including communications, pool & spa, lawn & garden and HVAC; the deal is Marco's first add-on since Align's investment and expands the platform's product and distribution capabilities.
