Mereo Capital Partners and Hyperion Capital Partners have acquired Algus Packaging LLC, a DeKalb, Illinois-based manufacturer of thermoformed blister and clamshell packaging and blister seal machines. The transaction closed on November 2, 2022, with the buyers partnering with Algus management to invest in future growth and expand the company's packaging and manufacturing capabilities.

Inovar Packaging Group Acquires Kiliper Corporation

Inovar Packaging Group, a Dallas-based label and packaging provider, acquired Kiliper Corporation, a family-owned flexible packaging business, to expand its stretch sleeve, roll‑fed label, and printed film capabilities and strengthen its Midwest footprint. Kiliper’s co-owners Tom Kiliper and Lindsay Maysent will remain as co‑presidents following the transaction.

Inno-Pak (Emerald Lake-backed) Acquires Albany Packaging

Inno-Pak LLC, a portfolio company of Emerald Lake Capital Management, has acquired Albany Packaging Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of folding paperboard cartons. The deal (terms not disclosed) expands Inno-Pak's North American manufacturing footprint and paperboard capacity, strengthening its capabilities in foodservice, grocery and convenience-store packaging.

The Middleby Corporation Acquires CP Packaging

The Middleby Corporation has acquired CP Packaging, a manufacturer of high-speed vacuum and thermoforming horizontal form-fill-and-seal packaging equipment based in Appleton, Wisconsin. The acquisition (CP Packaging had approximately $15 million in annual sales) expands Middleby's food processing and packaging equipment offerings and strengthens its ability to provide integrated full-line solutions to food industry customers.

B2B Industrial Packaging Acquires Allen Packaging Company

GenNx360 Capital Partners’ portfolio company B2B Industrial Packaging has acquired Allen Packaging Company, a Tustin, California-based packaging supplier and manufacturer. The deal is B2B’s fourth add-on since GenNx360’s October 2020 investment and expands the platform’s corrugated, poly bag and stretch film capabilities and client coverage in Southern California.

PACCOR Acquires Miko Pac (Packaging Division of Miko N.V.)

PACCOR signed an agreement to acquire Miko Pac, the packaging division of Belgium-based Miko N.V., strengthening PACCOR's injection molding and thermoforming capabilities and expanding its international footprint, including a production plant in Indonesia. The deal, expected to close after regulatory approval in Q2 2021, will integrate Miko Pac into PACCOR while keeping operational management with Miko Pac's former co-owners and managing directors.
