Nors, S.A. Acquires Strongco Corporation

Portuguese equipment dealer Nors, S.A. agreed to acquire Strongco Corporation for CAD$3.15 per share in cash, representing a transaction value of approximately CAD$193 million (including net debt). The deal, effected by a statutory plan of arrangement, gives Nors a Canadian platform for selling, renting and servicing construction, mining and forestry equipment and is expected to close before the end of Q1 2020 subject to shareholder, court and regulatory approvals.

Great Western Trailer Acquires Southwest Trailer & Equipment, LLC

Great Western Trailer (GWT) has acquired Southwest Trailer & Equipment, LLC, adding the company's Oklahoma City and Tulsa facilities to GWT's dealership network. The acquisition expands GWT's footprint into the Southwest and will allow GWT to extend its finance, leasing and rental offerings and after-market services to the added locations.

Oxbo International Acquires Westside Equipment Company

Oxbo International, a global specialty agricultural equipment manufacturer, has acquired Westside Equipment Company, a Madera, California-based maker of specialty harvesting equipment and aftermarket parts and service. Prestwick advised Westside and its private equity sponsors Hanover Partners and Greyrock Capital Group on the undisclosed transaction, which expands Oxbo's capabilities and presence in specialty/permanent crop harvesting markets.

Sunbelt Rentals Acquires Nor-Val Rentals

Sunbelt Rentals (Fort Mill, South Carolina) has acquired the six-location rental business of Nor-Val Rentals, a British Columbia–based equipment rental operator. The deal, effective Dec. 1, 2023, transfers Nor-Val's stores in Armstrong, Vernon, Oliver, Penticton, West Kelowna and Kelowna to Sunbelt; former owner Jim Clipperton confirmed the transaction.

Morwest Group Acquires Advance Equipment Company

Morwest Group of Companies, through its subsidiary Advance Triwest Equipment, Ltd., acquired Advance Equipment Company, a Saint Paul-based tower crane, hoist and concrete pump rental and service business, effective April 30, 2020. The deal expands Morwest’s equipment portfolio and service area across North America by integrating two family-owned construction equipment rental businesses.

Westward Partners Acquires Globe Machine

Seattle-based private equity firm Westward Partners has acquired Globe Machine, a 107-year-old Tacoma manufacturer of complex factory machinery and automation. Westward says the deal will accelerate Globe's growth — expanding aftermarket parts and services, deepening industrial automation and robotics capabilities, and leveraging the firm's Northwest geographic focus and resources.
