The Coastal Companies (Laurel, Maryland) acquired Lancaster Foods (Jessup, Maryland) from Guest Services, Inc., combining Lancaster's retail produce distribution and fresh‑cut/ready‑to‑eat capabilities with Coastal's East Coast produce distribution, processing and cold‑storage network. Lancaster Foods will continue to operate under its brand from its Jessup facility, with John Gates remaining as President and joining The Coastal Companies' leadership team.
