Apollo Invests in GI Alliance in Physician-led Buyout as Waud Capital Exits

GI Alliance completed a physician-led buyout and recapitalization in which funds managed by Apollo committed a $785 million non-control investment, enabling physician owners led by James Weber, M.D. to hold a controlling equity stake. The transaction — which valued GI Alliance at $2.2 billion — marks Waud Capital Partners' exit and provides new capital and a strategic partnership to support continued national growth of the gastroenterology practice management platform.
