The capital will support QOS Networks' expansion of its Intelligent Network platform, accelerate product development (including security-as-a-service and end-user network management), and scale its global managed SD-WAN and edge network services.

Zayo Group Acquires Education Networks of America (ENA)

Zayo Group Holdings has completed the acquisition of Education Networks of America (ENA), a Nashville-based provider of managed network connectivity, communications and cybersecurity services serving K-12 schools and other public sector customers. ENA, previously owned by private equity firm ZMC, will combine with Zayo’s fiber network to expand Zayo’s public-sector offerings and deepen services to education, library and community healthcare customers across the U.S.

M/C Partners (via Neutral Connect Networks) Acquires Connectivity Wireless Solutions

Boston-based private equity firm M/C Partners has acquired Connectivity Wireless Solutions and its subsidiaries (including Simplifi DAS Holdings) and will consolidate the business with its portfolio company Neutral Connect Networks. The deal creates a larger neutral-host and in‑building wireless platform to accelerate growth in managed Wi‑Fi, CBRS/private LTE and 5G deployments; Stephen Bye will serve as CEO of the combined business and Connectivity founder Greg Jacobs will join the board.

Fortinet Acquires OPAQ Networks

Fortinet has acquired OPAQ Networks, a Herndon, Virginia-based Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) cloud provider, to integrate OPAQ’s patented Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architecture into Fortinet’s Security Fabric. The acquisition strengthens Fortinet’s SASE offering—bringing scalable cloud-native ZTNA, partner-friendly multi-tenant capabilities, and expanded cloud security functionality; financial terms were not disclosed.

Cisco Acquires Fluidmesh Networks

Cisco announced its intent to acquire Fluidmesh Networks to strengthen Cisco's industrial wireless and Industrial IoT offerings, adding Fluidmesh's wireless backhaul technology for on-the-move assets (trains, subways, ports). The deal was expected to close in Cisco's fiscal Q4 2020 and the Fluidmesh team will join Cisco's IoT business to accelerate deployments in rail, mining, ports and other industrial markets.
