The growth capital will enable Brightcore to scale its Efficiency-as-a-Service offerings — including solar, LED lighting, HVAC/geothermal, EV charging and battery storage — and pursue additional project financing and acquisitions.

SER Capital Partners committed $82 million in growth capital to Brightcore Energy to expand the company’s balance sheet and accelerate deployment and financing of commercial clean energy and efficiency projects. Metric Point Capital acted as exclusive placement agent; the investment will support Brightcore’s solar, LED lighting, HVAC/geothermal, EV charging, battery storage and smart building offerings for commercial, industrial and institutional customers.

Sier Capital Partners Makes Growth Investment in US Electric

SER Capital Partners Acquires Charah Solutions

Funds managed by SER Capital Partners completed the acquisition of Charah Solutions, Inc., a Louisville-based provider of environmental remediation, ash management and byproduct recycling services to the power generation industry, for $6.00 per share. The transaction (approved July 12, 2023) takes Charah private from Bernhard Capital Partners and other shareholders; Charah's outstanding 8.50% Senior Notes remain obligations of the company and the business will continue operating under SER with its existing management and nearly 600 employees.
