Insight Partners Leads $16M Series A in Heron

Heron, an AI company automating document-heavy workflows for lenders, equipment finance providers and insurers, raised $16 million in a Series A led by Insight Partners with participation from Y Combinator, BoxGroup and Flex Capital. The funding will be used to scale Heron’s engineering and go-to-market teams and expand its AI workflow automation into additional industry verticals and geographies (New York and London).

Wealthspire Advisors Acquires Heron Wealth

Wealthspire Advisors LLC, an NFP company, signed an agreement to acquire Heron Financial Group, LLC (dba Heron Wealth), a New York City-based wealth advisory firm managing approximately $300 million in client assets. The acquisition expands Wealthspire's presence in the Northeast and adds Heron's team and capabilities in financial planning, investment advice, and estate planning; the deal was expected to close in early Q2 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Redwire Corporation Acquires Hera Systems, Inc.

Redwire Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Hera Systems, a San Jose–based spacecraft developer focused on national security space missions. The acquisition is intended to expand Redwire's spacecraft portfolio and capabilities in GEO and other orbits to support national security customers; Hera reported $15 million in revenue for the year ended December 31, 2023.

Lear Corporation Acquires StoneShield Engineering
