Upper Crust Food Service Acquires College Fresh, Inc.

Upper Crust Food Service has acquired College Fresh, Inc., combining two leading contract food service providers that serve fraternities, sororities and camps across the United States. The combined business will operate across 45 states and more than 100 college campuses, leveraging 2,000+ food service professionals; financial terms were not disclosed. Adam Guy will lead the combined company as CEO and Jack Dawson (former College Fresh President) has joined as President and shareholder.

GrubMarket Acquires Brothers Produce

GrubMarket has completed the acquisition of Houston-based Brothers Produce, a major foodservice distributor operating three distribution centers across Texas and serving more than 6,000 customers across the Southwestern U.S. Brothers Produce's temperature-controlled warehousing and fleet of refrigerated vehicles will be integrated with GrubMarket's AI-powered WholesaleWare ERP and logistics platform to expand GrubMarket's footprint and capabilities in Texas and the surrounding region.

GrubMarket Acquires Best Fresh Produce, Inc.

GrubMarket has completed the acquisition of Best Fresh Produce, Inc., a Los Angeles–based fresh fruit and vegetable supplier founded in 2007. The deal expands GrubMarket's presence in the Los Angeles market and gives Best Fresh Produce access to GrubMarket's WholesaleWare SaaS platform while remaining based in Los Angeles under its existing management team.

MBC Companies Acquires Nardone Brothers Baking Co.

MBC Companies, a portfolio company of Entrepreneurial Equity Partners (e2p), has acquired Nardone Brothers Baking Co., a family-owned frozen pizza manufacturer based in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The add-on expands MBC's product portfolio beyond frozen breakfast into pizza, increases manufacturing capacity to three facilities, and creates cross-selling opportunities across K-12, private label retail, convenience store and foodservice channels.

Whitsons Culinary Group Acquires Fresh Picks Café, LLC

Whitsons Culinary Group, a portfolio company of GenNx360 Capital Partners, has acquired Fresh Picks Café LLC, a Manchester, New Hampshire-based provider of outsourced food service management to more than 50 K-12 schools and summer camp locations. The acquisition expands Whitsons' presence in the New England market; Fresh Picks' regional leadership team will remain in place as part of Whitsons.
