General Motors Acquires Full Ownership of Cruise

General Motors has completed its previously announced acquisition of GM Cruise Holdings LLC, making Cruise a wholly owned GM subsidiary after approval of GM's merger offer by the Cruise board. GM will integrate Cruise's autonomous-vehicle and ADAS technology into its Super Cruise platform and focus on accelerating development of driving assistance and personal autonomous vehicle capabilities.

The deal gives Saronic nearly 100 acres in Franklin, Louisiana, retains Gulf Craft's workforce, and includes a planned $250 million investment in yard upgrades and capacity to scale production (with plans to add 500+ jobs over the next 3–4 years).
