Cruise Acquires Voyage

Cruise has acquired self-driving startup Voyage and will integrate Voyage's team, technology and operations to accelerate commercial deployment of autonomous, all‑electric robotaxi services. The deal brings Voyage's ~60-person team and its experience operating autonomous shuttles in retirement communities into Cruise to bolster its technical capabilities and customer-focused product execution.

The deal (cash and stock, terms undisclosed) is intended to accelerate Autonomy's entry into car-sharing, expand its product offering, and scale usage through EV Mobility's existing hospitality and property partnerships; the transaction is expected to close in Q4 2023.
