Amazon Acquires Zoox

Amazon has signed an agreement to acquire Zoox, a California-based developer of purpose-built autonomous ride-hailing vehicles and end-to-end autonomy software. Zoox will remain a standalone business led by CEO Aicha Evans and CTO Jesse Levinson as Amazon aims to accelerate the development and commercialization of safe, zero-emissions autonomous mobility.
