RELAM Acquires Falcon Equipment

RELAM, a Paceline Equity Partners portfolio company, has acquired Falcon Equipment Ltd., a Surrey, British Columbia–based specialty truck and equipment solutions provider. The deal expands RELAM’s presence in the Canadian hi-rail and specialty truck markets, adds new end markets (building supply, utility, snow and ice, municipality), and preserves Falcon’s existing management team under President Dan Kielan.

Affiliates of Dallas-based private equity manager Paceline Equity Partners have acquired R.E.L.A.M., Inc. along with affiliated businesses Acme Construction Co., Inc. and Timiny RR Construction, Inc. The assets will be combined with Paceline's existing platform 1435 Rail, creating a larger rail maintenance-of-way equipment lessor and services business with a diversified fleet and expanded service offerings.

Shermco Industries Acquires R3L Engineering

Shermco Industries, a PE-backed electrical testing and power-systems services provider, has acquired R3L Engineering to expand its technical engineering capabilities and strengthen its presence in the Birmingham, Alabama area. The acquisition expands Shermco’s regional workforce and ability to serve industrial and utility customers across Alabama and the Southeastern United States; terms were not disclosed.

Rehlko Acquires The Wilmott Group

Penske Truck Leasing Acquires Kris-Way Truck Leasing, Inc.

Penske Truck Leasing has reached an agreement to acquire Kris-Way Truck Leasing, Inc., a New England-based transportation services company offering truck leasing, rental, maintenance and dedicated contract carriage. The deal will add Kris-Way's approximately 150 associates, over 900 vehicles and seven locations across Maine and New Hampshire to Penske's network; financial terms were not disclosed and closing was expected in Q2 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Paceline Equity Partners Acquires Progress Rail Equipment Leasing Corporation from Progress Rail (Caterpillar)

Affiliates of Paceline Equity Partners acquired Progress Rail Equipment Leasing Corporation (PRELC), the maintenance-of-way (MOW) equipment leasing business formerly held by Progress Rail, a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. The transaction was a divestiture by Progress Rail and will allow Paceline to operate an asset-rich equipment-leasing platform serving North American railroad operators and contractors.
