Marlin-backed Bazaarvoice Acquires Curalate

Marlin Equity Partners and its portfolio company Bazaarvoice have acquired Curalate and will merge Curalate into Bazaarvoice to expand visual commerce and user-generated content (UGC) capabilities. Curalate — a provider of shoppable social, influencer marketing and UGC solutions used by more than 1,000 brands and retailers — will broaden Bazaarvoice's offerings for brands and retailers across social and e-commerce channels.

PhotoShelter Acquires Socialie

PhotoShelter, a PE-backed SaaS digital asset management provider, has acquired Socialie to expand real-time content distribution, automation and analytics capabilities. The deal—completed in partnership with PhotoShelter’s majority investor Clearhaven Partners—integrates Socialie's social channel distribution and Magic Tracking analytics into PhotoShelter's DAM platform to give brands greater control and insight over content sharing and performance.
