S&P Global and IHS Markit announced and advanced a merger that received final regulatory approvals, with the companies expecting to close on February 28, 2022 and later stating the merger was completed. To address antitrust concerns, they agreed to sell certain IHS Markit businesses to News Corp and discussed additional divestitures as remedies.
