Peak Technologies, a portfolio company of Sole Source Capital, has acquired Automation Intelligence, a Flint, Michigan-based robotics systems integrator. The add-on strengthens Peak's Smart Technologies offering by adding advanced robotics and machine vision capabilities to its digital supply chain and AIDC solutions; terms were not disclosed.

The Krones Group Acquires R+D Automation

The Krones Group acquired R+D Automation (formerly R+D Custom Automation) in 2022, bringing the Wisconsin-based specialist in life‑sciences automation into Krones’ global portfolio. R+D is rebranded as R+D Automation and is leveraging Krones’ international footprint and resources to expand installations, service and sales in the medical, pharmaceutical and biotech markets.

Gener8 LLC, a portfolio company of Sverica Capital Management, has completed the acquisition of The RND Group, an Indianapolis-based provider of software development for medical device and life sciences products. The acquisition adds full-lifecycle regulated software capabilities — including cloud solutions, verification & validation, quality system compliance, and LIS/EHR integration — to Gener8's existing instrument, consumable and firmware offerings to extend services off-instrument and accelerate customer development timelines.

TJM Capital Partners Acquires Midwest Automation LLC

TJM Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has acquired Midwest Automation LLC, a family-owned U.S. manufacturer of industrial machinery for metal deburring, edge rounding and surface finishing. Kenny Holley, the past president and owner, exited the business and Micah Coleman (CEO of Timesavers LLC and Dubois Equipment Co.) will serve as incoming CEO as TJM looks to expand Midwest Automation's capabilities and grow the business.
