SolarWinds Acquires Papertrail for $41M

The acquisition expands SolarWinds' cloud monitoring and log-management capabilities, bringing Papertrail's SaaS log-aggregation technology and customers (including Adobe and GitHub) into SolarWinds' portfolio.

Enbridge Acquires Tri Global Energy

Enbridge Inc. acquired U.S. renewable project developer Tri Global Energy for US$270 million in cash plus assumed debt, with up to ~US$50 million in contingent payments. The purchase brings TGE’s ~7 GW wind and solar development portfolio and its development team into Enbridge’s renewables platform to accelerate North American growth in wind and solar.

SOCOTEC Acquires TRIGIS GeoServices GmbH

SOCOTEC (via SOCOTEC Deutschland) has acquired TRIGIS GeoServices GmbH, adding geodata, mapping and geomonitoring capabilities to its German business. TRIGIS operates six offices across Berlin, Saxony and Thuringia and brings specialized surveying and monitoring services that expand SOCOTEC Deutschland's engineering and infrastructure inspection offering.

SolarWinds Acquires Samanage

SolarWinds has agreed to acquire Samanage, a Cary, North Carolina–based cloud IT service desk (ITSM) SaaS provider, for approximately $350 million (about $329 million net of cash). The acquisition, expected to close in Q2 2019, will fold Samanage into SolarWinds’ IT Operations Management portfolio to expand SolarWinds’ ITSM capabilities and broaden cross-sell opportunities across its customer base.

Hexagon Completes Acquisitions of 3D Systems’ Geomagic Suite and Septentrio NV

Hexagon completed its acquisition of 3D Systems’ Geomagic suite of interoperable 3D modelling software packages and acquired Septentrio NV’s GNSS technologies. The Geomagic suite is consolidated in April 2025 within Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division, while Septentrio is consolidated in March 2025 within Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division.

SSP Innovations Acquires 3-GIS

SSP Innovations, a portfolio company of Warren Equity Partners, has acquired 3-GIS, a provider of geospatial back-office web and mobile products for the telecommunications industry. The acquisition (closed Dec. 23, 2020) adds 3-GIS's SaaS product suite to SSP's utility GIS and telecom offering as an add-on to expand capabilities and market reach.
