Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division has acquired Parma-based CAD Service to fully integrate its OpenCAD visualisation tools into HxGN EAM. CAD Service, which has a nine-person team and a longstanding partnership with Hexagon, will be consolidated into Hexagon to accelerate development of enhanced 3D visualisation capabilities for customers in manufacturing, energy, and transportation.

Hexagon AB to Acquire Inertial Sense

Hexagon AB has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Inertial Sense, a Utah-based developer of compact tactical-grade inertial navigation systems and GNSS+INS solutions. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, and will expand Hexagon’s assured positioning, navigation, and timing capabilities for aerospace, defense, robotics, and unmanned systems.

Cadence to Acquire Hexagon's Design & Engineering Business (MSC Software)

The deal is intended to strengthen Cadence’s Intelligent System Design and system analysis portfolio with Hexagon’s multiphysics simulation technologies such as MSC Nastran and Adams.
