Inertial Labs Acquires MEMSENSE

Inertial Labs has acquired MEMSENSE, a developer of MEMS-based inertial measurement units, combining the two companies' engineering and manufacturing capabilities to accelerate product development for aerospace, defense, autonomous vehicles, and industrial markets. The combined business will have more than 100 employees and roughly 500 customers, and aims to expand production capacity and deliver new high-performance IMU and navigation solutions.

VIAVI Solutions Acquires Inertial Labs

VIAVI Solutions Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Inertial Labs, Inc. for an initial $150 million at closing, plus up to $175 million in contingent consideration over four years. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.

Hexagon Completes Acquisitions of 3D Systems’ Geomagic Suite and Septentrio NV

Hexagon completed its acquisition of 3D Systems’ Geomagic suite of interoperable 3D modelling software packages and acquired Septentrio NV’s GNSS technologies. The Geomagic suite is consolidated in April 2025 within Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division, while Septentrio is consolidated in March 2025 within Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division.

Hexagon to Acquire indurad and xtonomy to Advance Autonomous Mining

Hexagon announced it will acquire indurad, a Germany-based radar and RTLS technology company, along with its autonomous haulage subsidiary xtonomy. The deal is expected to close in late November and will bring indurad’s modular radar collision-avoidance and machine automation capabilities into Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division.

ABB Acquires Sevensense

ABB has acquired Swiss start-up Sevensense, an ETH Zurich spin-off that provides AI-enabled 3D vision navigation (Visual SLAM) for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The acquisition (financial terms undisclosed) will integrate Sevensense's technology into ABB's AMR portfolio to expand capabilities in automotive, logistics and other intralogistics markets; Sevensense will remain based in Zurich with about 35 employees.

Hexagon AB Acquires Qognify from Battery Ventures

Hexagon AB has agreed to acquire Qognify, a provider of physical-security and incident-management software, from Battery Ventures. Terms were not disclosed and the deal remains subject to customary regulatory review; Hexagon plans to integrate Qognify into its public safety suite to expand capabilities in video surveillance and incident response.
