Cadence (NASDAQ: CDNS) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hexagon AB’s Design & Engineering (D&E) business, including MSC Software, for approximately €2.7 billion. The deal is intended to strengthen Cadence’s Intelligent System Design and system analysis portfolio with Hexagon’s multiphysics simulation technologies such as MSC Nastran and Adams.
