Standard Solar Acquires 12-MW Community Solar Project Portfolio from New Leaf Energy

Standard Solar, a Brookfield Renewable company, has acquired a 12-megawatt community solar project portfolio in Virginia from New Leaf Energy, comprising one project in Chatham and two in Kilmarnock. The projects — including over 7 MW allocated to low- and moderate-income customers in Kilmarnock — are expected to generate about 19,811 MWh annually and mark Standard Solar's entry into Virginia's community solar market.

Aspen Power Acquires 20-Project Community Solar Portfolio in Illinois

Aspen Power has closed a Membership Interest Purchase and Development Services Agreement (MIPDSA) to acquire a 14.1 MWdc portfolio of early‑stage community solar sites in Illinois from Arrow Solar Development LLC. Aspen Power will develop, construct, own and operate the projects—bringing its Illinois portfolio to over 34 MW—and use its financing and development capabilities to advance the sites to long‑term operation.

Standard Solar Acquires 4.98 MW Bent Bow Community Solar Project from Energy Management, Inc.

Standard Solar has acquired the 4.98-megawatt Bent Bow Community Solar project in Doña Ana County, New Mexico from developer Energy Management, Inc. The ground-mount project, developed by EMI beginning in 2021, is expected to be completed in late 2025 and will dedicate at least 30% of output to low-income subscribers under New Mexico's Community Solar Act.

The AES Corporation Acquires Community Energy Solar, LLC

CleanCapital Acquires 22.7 MW, 40-Asset Solar Portfolio From Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure

CleanCapital acquired a portfolio of 40 solar assets totaling 22.7 MW from Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure (KSI), expanding its operating distributed solar footprint across Vermont, New York and California. Manulife Investment Management and its institutional co-investors committed an additional $145 million of equity to CleanCapital to fund development, construction and future acquisitions; the sale closes out KSI’s first fund dedicated to community solar.
