Stonepeak Acquires Stake in Dupré Logistics

Stonepeak has partnered with Dupré Logistics, a Lafayette, Louisiana-based transportation company that operates more than 700 trucks and 1,000 professional drivers, to invest in and grow Dupré's nationwide energy distribution, private fleet and brokerage services. The Dupré family will remain shareholders and Stonepeak has appointed Chris Sower as interim CEO to support the company's next phase of growth; terms were not disclosed.

Stonepeak, a New York-based alternative investment firm, has acquired Fleet Companies, a regional trailer dealership and leasing company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. Fleet will serve as the seed asset for a national trailer platform Stonepeak plans to build across the U.S.; terms were not disclosed and the deal has closed.

Stonepeak to Acquire Textainer Group Holdings for $7.4 Billion

Textainer Group Holdings Limited (an intermodal container lessor) entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Stonepeak for an enterprise value of about $7.4 billion. Under the deal terms, Textainer common shareholders will receive $50 per share in cash, and the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024, subject to customary conditions and approvals.

Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors (FTAI) Acquires Transtar, LLC from United States Steel

Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC (FTAI) agreed to acquire United States Steel Corporation’s rail operating subsidiary, Transtar, LLC, for $640 million, with the transaction expected to close in Q3 2021 subject to regulatory approvals. FTAI and U.S. Steel will also enter a 15-year exclusive strategic rail services agreement (with minimum volume commitments for the first five years), providing FTAI with long-term contracted revenue and opportunities to grow third-party rail services and ancillary businesses.
