Eutelsat Communications to Combine with OneWeb in All-Share Transaction

Eutelsat Communications and key OneWeb shareholders signed a final combination agreement to merge the GEO satellite operator Eutelsat with OneWeb’s low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation in an all-share transaction. Following closing, Eutelsat would own 100% of OneWeb (excluding the UK Government’s ‘Special Share’), with OneWeb shareholders receiving newly issued Eutelsat shares representing 50% of the enlarged share capital.

Rocket Lab USA, Inc. Acquires Planetary Systems Corporation

Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: RKLB) completed the acquisition of Planetary Systems Corporation (PSC), a Maryland-based spacecraft separation systems and satellite dispenser manufacturer, for $42 million in cash plus 1,720,841 shares of common stock and a potential earnout of up to 956,023 additional shares. The deal (expected/closed in Q4 2021 per announcements) brings PSC's flight-proven separation hardware and its 25-person team into Rocket Lab's Space Systems division to expand Rocket Lab's end-to-end launch, spacecraft, and space-hardware capabilities.

Lockheed Martin Completes Acquisition of Terran Orbital

V (CFV), and its Class A ordinary shares and warrants began trading on Nasdaq on January 26, 2022 under the tickers SATL and SATLW. The transaction provides Satellogic approximately $262 million in gross proceeds—including a $100 million PIPE led by SoftBank's SBLA Advisers and Cantor Fitzgerald and a $150 million private placement commitment from Liberty Strategic Capital—to scale its satellite constellation and expand its high-resolution Earth-observation and analytics capabilities.

SES S.A. Acquires Intelsat S.A. for $3.1 Billion

Orbyt Global Acquires OTESAT-Maritel from OTE Group
