(TGHI) acquired the World Championship Air Race (WCAR) via an asset purchase, transferring core management and operational staff to its newly formed subsidiary Air Race Limited. Platinum Equity Acquires Game Taco; Game Taco to Acquire WorldWinner from GSN Games

Platinum Equity signed an agreement to acquire Game Taco, a skill-based mobile gaming platform, and Game Taco will in turn acquire WorldWinner from GSN Games (a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment). The two businesses will be combined under Game Taco leadership — Joshua Barrow as CEO and David Nathanson as Executive Chairman (minority co-investor) — to create a larger skill-games competition platform; financial terms were not disclosed.

Skillsoft and Churchill Capital Corp II Acquire Global Knowledge

Skillsoft (through its business combination with Churchill Capital Corp II) completed the acquisition of Global Knowledge Training LLC in a transaction announced in 2020 and closed June 11, 2021. The deal was reported at approximately $233 million and combines Global Knowledge’s IT and technology training capabilities with Skillsoft’s digital learning platform to expand enterprise learning content and modalities.
