Cinven has sold an indirect minority stake in SYNLAB to strategic investor Labcorp while funds advised by Elliott have agreed to sell their direct stake to Ephios Bidco (Cinven-controlled) and reinvest proceeds to become an indirect minority shareholder alongside Cinven, Labcorp and Qatar Holding. The transactions leave Cinven as majority shareholder of SYNLAB and create opportunities for collaboration (including bringing Labcorp specialty tests to Europe); the Elliott transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in early 2025.

Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners Acquire TRIUMPH for $3 Billion

Affiliates of private equity firms Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners agreed to acquire Triumph Group, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valuing the company at approximately $3.0 billion ($26.00 per share). The deal was announced in February 2025, will take TRIUMPH private upon closing (expected in H2 2025) and closed in July 2025, with Jorge L. Valladares III named CEO as the company transitions to private ownership to accelerate growth and expand capabilities in aerospace and defense.

Innova Capital and its minority co-investors sold their stake in Flokk Group as part of a larger transaction that moved four Triton Fund IV portfolio companies (Assemblin, EQOS, Flokk and Unica) into the newly-formed Triton IV Continuation Fund (TIV CF). The deal represents Innova's final exit from its Innova/5 vehicle and transfers majority-held assets into the continuation fund managed by Triton.
