Canada Cartage Acquires The GTI Group to Enter U.S. Market

Canada Cartage Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The GTI Group, a Montreal-based logistics provider offering brokerage, freight management, forwarding, drayage, intermodal, warehousing and specialized heavy/oversize trucking. The deal expands Canada Cartage’s service capabilities and marks its first entry into the U.S. market, with GTI’s U.S. offices in Houston, Des Moines and Franklin, Tennessee; the combined company is expected to generate over C$1 billion in annual revenue.

Canada Cartage Acquires Rapid Delivery

Canada Cartage has acquired Rapid Delivery, a London, Ontario-based carrier with terminals in London and Windsor that provides truckload, expedited and dedicated transportation into Ontario and the U.S. Great Lakes states. Canada Cartage has retained virtually all former Rapid staff and drivers; Rapid owner Rob Ward is retiring but will remain in a consultative role to support the transition.

Trimac Transportation Acquires Transport Sylvain Lasalle

Trimac Transportation has acquired Transport Sylvain Lasalle, a Quebec-based bulk pressure carrier specializing in propane and butane transport. The deal adds two Quebec locations (Joliette and St. Hyacinthe), a fleet of 28 tractors and 30 trailers, and an operations team to Trimac’s network as it expands its presence in Eastern Canada.

Organigram Holdings Inc. Acquires Laurentian Organic Inc.

Organigram Holdings Inc. acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of Laurentian Organic Inc. in a cash-and-share transaction with aggregate upfront consideration of CAD 36 million plus potential earnouts. The acquisition brings the Tremblant Cannabis and Laurentian craft brands into Organigram’s portfolio, strengthens its presence in Quebec, and expands its premium/hash product offering to accelerate revenue and EBITDA growth.

Lineage Logistics Acquires Ontario Refrigerated Services to Launch Canadian Platform

Lineage Logistics signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ontario Refrigerated Services, a family-operated cold storage provider with four facilities in the Greater Toronto market, marking Lineage's entry into Canada. The deal, made in partnership with CapCold Group Inc. (formed by Robert and Patrick Molyneux), adds ~510,000 sq ft (16.2 million cubic feet) and ~100,000 pallet positions of refrigerated capacity; financial terms were not disclosed.
