Schneider has acquired Wisconsin-based regional carrier deBoer Transportation and will integrate its drivers and equipment to bolster Schneider’s Dedicated and Power Only operations. As part of the deal Schneider assumed ownership of roughly 160 tractors and 660 trailers; deBoer’s Blenker facility and a Dallas-area maintenance shop were excluded from the sale.

DB Schenker Acquires USA Truck

DB Schenker has completed its acquisition of USA Truck, acquiring all outstanding shares for $31.72 per share in cash. The deal values USA Truck at roughly $435 million (including assumed cash and debt); USA Truck will operate within DB Schenker's North America network and will no longer trade on NASDAQ.

Storage Solutions Acquires SNC Solutions

Financial terms were not disclosed; Storage Solutions said the deal will expand its capabilities and presence on the U.S. West Coast to better serve warehouses, distribution centers, and fulfillment operations.

TD Bank Group Acquires Cowen Inc.

TD Bank Group agreed to acquire Cowen Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at US$1.3 billion (US$39 per share). The deal brings Cowen’s ~1,700 employees and investment-banking, equities, research and trading capabilities into TD Securities (to be partly rebranded as TD Cowen) to accelerate TD’s U.S. investment banking growth and expand its product capabilities.

TranSystems Acquires Whitney Bailey Cox & Magnani (WBCM)

Schuman Cheese Acquires Trugman-Nash LLC

Schuman Cheese, a fourth-generation family-owned specialty cheese importer and maker, has acquired Trugman-Nash LLC from Allied Dairy, Inc., gaining ownership of the Old Croc Australian cheddar brand and exclusive U.S. distribution rights for Organic Herd British cheddar brands. The deal expands Schuman's premium cheese portfolio and strengthens its retail presence in the U.S. specialty cheese market.
