Acerinox (via North American Stainless) Acquires Haynes International

Acerinox, through its wholly owned U.S. subsidiary North American Stainless, has agreed to acquire Haynes International in an all-cash transaction valuing Haynes at approximately $798 million equity ($970 million enterprise value) at $61.00 per share. The deal strengthens Acerinox's high-performance alloys capabilities, expands its presence in the U.S. and aerospace markets, and includes a planned ~$200 million investment in the combined U.S. operations over four years.

Nippon Steel Corporation, together with its wholly owned subsidiary Nippon Steel North America, completed the all-cash acquisition of United States Steel Corporation for $55 per share (approximately $14.1bn equity; $14.9bn enterprise value). The transaction preserves U. S. Steel's headquarters and name in Pittsburgh, includes a national security agreement (golden share) with the U.S. government, and commits roughly $11bn of new investment in U. S. Steel through 2028.
