Aeris Acquires Ericsson's IoT Accelerator and Connected Vehicle Cloud Businesses

Aeris has closed the acquisition of Ericsson's IoT Accelerator (IoT-A) and Connected Vehicle Cloud (CVC) businesses and related assets; Ericsson will take a small ownership stake in the new Aeris. The deal combines Aeris' IoT platform with Ericsson's IoT and connected-vehicle technology to create a larger global IoT-first connectivity management service platform serving automotive, fleet, utilities, healthcare and other enterprise customers.

AeroVironment Acquires Arcturus UAV for $405M

(NASDAQ: AVAV) will acquire Arcturus UAV, Inc., a Petaluma, California–based developer and manufacturer of Group 2 and 3 unmanned aircraft systems, for a total purchase price of $405 million (approximately $355 million cash and $50 million in AeroVironment stock). The acquisition expands AeroVironment's product portfolio into higher-value Group 2 and 3 UAS segments, adds Arcturus’s ~270 employees and COCO services capability, and is expected to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA and GAAP EPS in fiscal 2022.
