Aeris Acquires Ericsson's IoT Accelerator and Connected Vehicle Cloud Businesses

Aeris has closed the acquisition of Ericsson's IoT Accelerator (IoT-A) and Connected Vehicle Cloud (CVC) businesses and related assets; Ericsson will take a small ownership stake in the new Aeris. The deal combines Aeris' IoT platform with Ericsson's IoT and connected-vehicle technology to create a larger global IoT-first connectivity management service platform serving automotive, fleet, utilities, healthcare and other enterprise customers.

The capital will support Aeris' global expansion and product development—particularly in agentic AI, IoT security, and partner integrations—while TA will join Aeris' board; financial terms were not disclosed.

American Event Services Acquires Canariis Corporation

American Event Services (AES) has acquired Riverview, Florida-based Canariis Corporation, a privately owned manufacturer of custom UL-listed packaged HVAC, plumbing and fire-protection systems. Canariis will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary under President Steven St. John (who retains a significant ownership stake); Tony Tauer has been named CEO of AES. The combined companies now operate four manufacturing locations totaling over 150,000 sq. ft. and about 165 employees, expanding AES's manufacturing capacity and distribution reach.

Cimarron Acquires Aereon

Houston-based Cimarron has acquired Aereon, an Austin-headquartered provider of emissions control equipment and services, in a strategic combination supported by private equity sponsor Turnbridge Capital. The deal brings together complementary emissions-control product lines and service networks to expand Cimarron's capabilities across upstream, midstream and downstream energy markets.

JANUS Research Group Acquires Atmospheric and Environmental Research (AER) from Verisk

JANUS Research Group, a portfolio company of CM Equity Partners, has acquired Verisk's Atmospheric and Environmental Research (AER) business. The transaction (advised by D.A. Davidson for Verisk) brings AER's remote-sensing, climate, oceanography and space-weather capabilities into JANUS to broaden mission-focused science, analytics and AI/ML offerings for federal, defense and commercial customers.

TrialCard (Mercalis) Acquires Canary Insights

TrialCard (now Mercalis) acquired Canary Insights, a Lakewood, Colorado-based healthcare information management company that provides subscription-based payer policy and coverage monitoring. The deal strengthens TrialCard's payer intelligence capabilities by combining Canary Insights' expertise with TrialCard's (Mercalis') existing Policy Reporter technology to expand market access and reimbursement intelligence for biopharmaceutical and medtech clients.
