Itelyum Acquires Stake in Plasta Rei to Expand Chemical PET Recycling

Itelyum, a PE-backed Italian recycling group, has acquired a significant share (reported as a full acquisition in company releases) in Plasta Rei to build an advanced chemical recycling plant in Cisterna di Latina that will produce food‑grade rPET granules. The move expands Itelyum's circular‑economy capabilities and leverages the group's chemical processing know‑how to scale Plasta Rei's PET depolymerisation technology for bottle‑to‑bottle applications.

Schur Flexibles Group Acquires Termoplast S.r.L.

Schur Flexibles Group has acquired 100% of Termoplast S.r.L., an Italian producer of 100% recyclable MDO-PE films and operator of an on-site recycling business. The acquisition (closed end of June 2021) will accelerate Schur Flexibles' expansion in the Italian market while preserving continuity as the selling family remains in management.

Plaskolite Acquires Substantially All Assets of Plazit-Polygal

Plaskolite LLC agreed to acquire substantially all of the assets and operations of Plazit-Polygal (excluding its Russian operations), expanding Plaskolite’s manufacturing footprint across North America, Europe, South America and Israel. The deal — backed by Plaskolite owner Pritzker Private Capital — adds multi-wall sheet production capabilities and establishes Plazit-Polygal’s Israel headquarters as Plaskolite’s EMEA hub.

Lacerta Group Acquires Substantially All Assets of Portage Plastics

Lacerta Group acquired substantially all the assets of Portage Plastics Corporation and PPC Investments, LLC (together, Portage Plastics) on December 21, 2022, expanding its production footprint into Portage, Wisconsin. The deal included retention of more than 50 Portage Plastics employees and will support Lacerta's efforts to better serve customers in the Midwest and Central United States; Lacerta is a portfolio company of SK Capital Partners.

Radial Equity Partners Acquires Cortina and Merges It with Portfolio Company Plasticade

Radial Equity Partners has acquired Cortina, a Franklin Park, Illinois-based manufacturer of traffic and work zone safety products, and will merge it with Radial’s 2024 portfolio company Plasticade. The Giannelli family will retain an ownership stake and Matt Soule has been named interim CEO of the combined business to accelerate growth and expand product and manufacturing capabilities.

Coda Resources, Ltd. Acquires Design Plastics Inc.

Coda Resources, Ltd. has acquired Design Plastics Inc., a manufacturer of injection-molded and vacuum-formed plastic parts that serves the off-road automotive parts market. Woodbridge International announced the sale and acted as the sell-side advisor; the deal expands Coda's contract manufacturing and integrated supply-chain capabilities.
