BlueGrace Logistics, a PE-backed third-party logistics (3PL) provider, has acquired FreightCenter, a 26-year-old online transportation solutions provider. The deal will integrate FreightCenter's customers and online freight capabilities with BlueGrace's BlueShip TMS, carrier network and managed logistics services while FreightCenter continues to operate under its existing brand.

Source Logistics Acquires LaGrou Distribution Warehousing Business

Source Logistics has acquired LaGrou Distribution's warehousing business in Northeast Illinois, adding eight Chicago-area facilities and over 2 million square feet of refrigerated and frozen storage to its platform. The deal expands Source Logistics' national network into the Midwest (bringing its footprint to 23 locations and 5+ million sq ft) and introduces cold-chain capabilities to its service offering; LaGrou's non-warehousing and transportation divisions remain with prior owners.

MGN Logistics Acquires Republic Logistic Services

Lindenmeyr Munroe, a division of Central National Gottesman (CNG), has acquired Portland-based Maine Shipping and Packaging Supply to expand its presence in the Maine market and broaden its packaging offerings. Jeff Bryant, president of Maine Shipping and Packaging Supply, will join Lindenmeyr Munroe in a senior sales role along with his team.
