Kinzie Capital Partners Acquires Colony Display LLC

Chicago-based private equity firm Kinzie Capital Partners has acquired Colony Display LLC, a designer, manufacturer and installer of customized retail, home improvement and hospitality fixtures headquartered in Elgin, Illinois. The transaction was completed in partnership with the company's founders and management; Colony will continue to be led by CEO Chuck Zich as Kinzie provides operational and technological support to drive the company's next phase of growth.

Chicago-based private equity firm Kinzie Capital Partners has acquired GT Golf Holdings, Inc., a Vista, California–based distributor of consumable golf products, in partnership with the company's management team. The transaction (terms undisclosed) transfers ownership from Hadley Capital to Kinzie and positions GT Golf to expand nationally while leveraging Kinzie's technology and operational resources.

Kingswood Capital Acquires Kichler Lighting and Merges It with Progress Lighting

Kingswood Capital Management has acquired Kichler Lighting from Masco Corporation and will merge Kichler with its portfolio company Progress Lighting to create a leading North American residential lighting platform. The combination preserves both the Progress and Kichler brands and is intended to expand the combined company's distribution, service capabilities and product catalog across homebuilder, trade, showroom, retail and ecommerce channels.

Solar Capital Ltd. Acquires Majority Stake in Kingsbridge Holdings LLC

Solar Capital Ltd. acquired an 87.5% majority stake in Kingsbridge Holdings LLC on November 3, 2020, investing approximately $216 million (about $136 million of equity and $80 million of debt). The stake was purchased from TZP Capital Partners II, LP and affiliates with Kingsbridge management rolling a portion of their equity; the acquisition expands Solar Capital's specialty finance platform by adding lease origination and asset finance capabilities through Kingsbridge's equipment leasing business based in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Kinzie Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has acquired Arctic Industries, a national manufacturer and distributor of walk-in coolers, freezers and the CoolBot refrigeration controller. The transaction (completed in partnership with Arctic management) will support Arctic's nationwide expansion by leveraging its bi-coastal manufacturing footprint and product portfolio across foodservice, healthcare and industrial end markets. Brown Gibbons Lang served as financial advisor to selling owner Stoic Holdings; terms were not disclosed.

Chicago-based private equity firm Kinzie Capital Partners has acquired Fraser Steel, LLC, a manufacturer of value-added steel tubular products operating from an 80,000-square-foot facility outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. Kinzie said it will support Fraser's growth through operational investment, product innovation and market expansion while partnering with the company's existing management team.
