Wabtec to Acquire Trimble’s Beena Vision Business to Expand Digital Rail Wayside Inspection

Wabtec Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Trimble’s Beena Vision business, which makes machine vision-based wayside inspection systems for the railroad industry. The acquisition is intended to pair Beena Vision’s technologies with Wabtec’s TrackIQ portfolio to create a comprehensive wayside inspection offering for rolling stock condition monitoring. Financial terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to customary closing conditions.
