Williams Treaties First Nations Invest $700 Million in Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington New Nuclear Project

The Williams Treaties First Nations announced a landmark C$700 million investment to support Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP), including Canada’s first grid-scale Small Modular Reactor (SMR). The Nations’ participation is supported through a loan guarantee backed by the Canadian Indigenous Loan Guarantee Corporation (CILGC) and a 50% participation guarantor role by the Province of Ontario.
