Empire Dental Arts, a portfolio company of Evolution Capital Partners, has acquired Papich-Forsyth D.D.S. & Associates, adding the practice's two locations in Stow and Cuyahoga Falls to Empire's network in Northeast Ohio. The acquisition is an add-on to Empire's platform and marks the first investment since Evolution acquired Empire in January 2020, bringing Empire's affiliated offices to six.

P1 Dental Partners, a Prairie Capital portfolio company, acquired Cornerstone Dental Partners, a 10-office dental support organization (DSO) in the greater Chicago area. The three Cornerstone owners — Mark Zieba, Jon Gregoire and Anthony Ponzio — joined P1 Dental Partners in executive leadership roles; the deal closed in December 2021 and terms were not disclosed.

Prairie Capital VI Partners with P1 Dental Partners to Create Indiana Dental Platform

Prairie Capital VI partnered with Dr. Kelly Jastremski, Patrick Malloy and other practice-owner dentists to consolidate 26 dental practices across Indiana and form P1 Dental Partners, a provider-led dental partnership organization headquartered in Indianapolis. The platform comprises 23 general and 3 specialty practices (about 50 providers) and Prairie Capital will support growth through investments in people, technology, infrastructure and add-on acquisitions.

PG Dental Holdings Merges with Allied Dental Holdings

PG Dental Holdings, backed by TriSpan, has completed a merger with Allied Dental Holdings to create the largest dental service organization (DSO) footprint in New Jersey and expand presence in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Pro forma the transaction, the combined organization will manage 79 multi-specialty practices employing over 200 dentists and more than 130 corporate staff.

SmilePartners-USA (Silver Oak) Acquires PEDIA and Multiple Dental Practices

SmilePartners-USA, a portfolio company of Silver Oak Services Partners, completed multiple add-on acquisitions including PEDIA, a 14-location dental and oral surgery provider in the Chicago area, plus several additional general and specialty dentistry practices in the Detroit and Atlanta metropolitan areas. The deals add three locations and bring SmilePartners to 46 locations across Michigan, Illinois and Georgia as the platform continues geographic expansion.
