MorganFranklin Consulting's cybersecurity practice completed a management buyout to form MorganFranklin Cyber, a standalone cybersecurity professional services firm majority-owned by private equity firm M|C Partners. The founding leadership team (Pete Schile, Keith Hollender and Jonah Dimeo) will continue to lead the business from its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina as the firm pursues accelerated growth, expanded services and managed offerings.

MidOcean Partners Acquires LYNX Franchising

MidOcean Partners has acquired LYNX Franchising, a multi-brand franchise platform that operates JAN-PRO, FRSTeam and Intelligent Office and has roughly 225 franchised and company-owned locations. MidOcean intends to accelerate LYNX’s growth through organic initiatives and strategic M&A; financial terms were not disclosed. The seller was Incline Equity Partners, which had owned LYNX since 2016.

Limerston Capital Acquires CyberCrowd to Build Cybersecurity Platform

London-based private equity firm Limerston Capital has acquired UK-based cyber security services specialist CyberCrowd as the first step in building a new cybersecurity platform alongside assets from an earlier acquisition. The combined group will offer digital forensics, e-Discovery, a proprietary forensic case management tool, a 24/7 UK-based SOC, incident response, and scaled consultancy and penetration testing services to public and private sector clients.
