Truck Hero, Inc. announced on May 10, 2019 that it has merged with and acquired Lund International Holding Company, a portfolio company of Highlander Partners. The transaction brings Lund’s branded automotive accessories portfolio into Truck Hero as an add-on to expand product categories and distribution across light- and heavy-truck aftermarket segments; terms were not disclosed.

A consortium led by consumer-focused private equity firm L Catterton — including a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Mubadala Investment Company and StepStone Group — has agreed to acquire a controlling interest in Truck Hero, Inc. CCMP Capital and Truck Hero founder/CEO Bill Reminder will remain meaningful investors. Truck Hero, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded aftermarket truck and Jeep accessories and operates the direct-to-consumer site RealTruck.com; the deal was expected to close in Q1 2021.

CCMP Capital Acquires Controlling Interest in Truck Hero

Affiliates of CCMP Capital have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a controlling interest in Truck Hero, a leading supplier of aftermarket accessories for pickup trucks and Jeeps. TA Associates (the incumbent majority investor) and Truck Hero's founders will remain significant investors and management will continue to lead the company; the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2017 with terms not disclosed.

Rhino-Rack (Clarus Corporation) Acquires Certain Assets of RockyMounts

Rhino-Rack, a brand within Clarus Corporation, has acquired certain assets of RockyMounts, a Boulder, Colorado-based maker of bicycle transport products. The transaction, funded with cash on hand and with terms undisclosed, will integrate RockyMounts into Rhino-Rack’s Colorado facility while founder Bobby Noyes will remain on the innovation team to support product development and expansion into U.S. and Australian markets.

RealTruck Acquires Vehicle Accessories Group (VAI) from Kinderhook
