Amalgam Rx, a digital therapeutics and patient support company, has acquired Avhana Health, a clinical decision support (CDS) provider with deep EHR integrations. The acquisition (closed January 2021) will expand Avhana's CDS tools across therapeutic areas and embed them into Amalgam's digital solutions to streamline provider workflows; Avhana's SaaS CDS has been implemented in over 150 provider groups and identifies more than $120 million in annual cost savings.
