HKW Acquires Handling Systems and Conveyors, Inc.

Middle-market private equity firm HKW has acquired Handling Systems and Conveyors, Inc. (HSC), a vertically integrated designer, manufacturer, installer and service provider of cranes, hoists, conveyors and tooling solutions. HKW said it will support HSC’s growth by expanding service penetration, investing in new geographic locations and pursuing strategic add-on acquisitions; financial terms were not disclosed.

Empire Southwest Acquires Cashman Equipment

Arizona-based Empire Southwest has agreed to acquire Nevada-based Cashman Equipment, combining two third-generation Caterpillar dealers to strengthen service and support across the U.S. Southwest. The deal, expected to close in December 2022, brings together over 2,300 Empire employees and more than 1,100 Cashman employees to expand capabilities across construction, mining, energy and industrial end markets.
