Lindsay Goldberg to Acquire Bilcare Research

Private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg has agreed to buy Swiss pharma packaging group Bilcare Research in a deal valued at about €250–300 million including debt. Bilcare, which employs around 1,000 people and generates roughly €300 million of annual sales, makes plastic packaging for pharmaceutical, consumer-goods and chip-card industries.

Kohlberg plans to invest in Nelipak to expand capabilities and pursue organic and M&A-driven growth, using Nelipak as a platform for further industry consolidation.

The Carlyle Group made a strategic growth investment of more than $250 million in Pharmapacks, an ecommerce marketplace enablement platform and large marketplace seller, valuing the company at approximately $1.1 billion.
