Camin Cargo, headquartered in Pasadena, Texas, operates 64 laboratory and inspection branches across 19 countries; Macquarie plans to accelerate growth organically and via acquisitions and to expand capabilities in renewable fuels.

Navis (Cargotec) Acquires Assets of Biarri Rail

Navis, part of Cargotec Corporation, agreed to acquire the assets of Biarri Rail, a Melbourne-based provider of planning and scheduling optimization software for freight railroads. The acquisition integrates Biarri Rail's SaaS planning and optimization capabilities with Navis' N4 Terminal Operating System to expand Navis' inland/intermodal rail solutions and improve rail operations and asset utilization. The Biarri Rail team will continue operating from Melbourne and Chicago; the deal was expected to close by end of February 2020.
