MCR Acquires Six Marriott and Hilton Hotels in Texas and New Mexico

MCR, the U.S. hotel owner-operator, acquired a six-property portfolio of Marriott and Hilton-branded hotels totaling 603 rooms across the Dallas–Fort Worth area and Santa Fe, New Mexico. The portfolio includes two Marriott-branded properties and four Hilton-branded properties, many of them recent-build and with a significant extended-stay/all-suite component.

Marriott International Acquires citizenM

Marriott International has completed its acquisition of the lifestyle hotel brand citizenM, adding citizenM's global portfolio of 37 open hotels (8,789 rooms) and its near-term pipeline to Marriott's select-service offerings. Marriott Vacations Worldwide Acquires Welk Resorts for Approximately $430 Million

Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Welk Resorts, a family-owned timeshare and resort operator, for approximately $430 million, including stock. The deal expands MVW’s Hyatt Residence Club footprint by adding eight upper-upscale resorts (nearly 1,400 keys) and ~55,000 owners, and is expected to close in early Q2 2021 subject to customary approvals.
