Specialty Program Group Acquires the Assets of ESP Insurance Brokerage

Specialty Program Group LLC (SPG), a holding company for specialty insurance brokerages and underwriting facilities, acquired the assets of ESP Insurance Brokerage LLC, a Worcester-based program administrator focused on sports, events and entertainment insurance. The deal adds niche products, in-house underwriting/binding authority and technology capabilities to SPG's portfolio and is intended to scale ESP's product offerings and service team as part of SPG's specialty insurance platform.

The acquisition — terms undisclosed — will allow SPG to launch and expand an environmental insurance platform while current Beacon Hill leadership will continue to run operations within SPG's wholesale division.
