BrightDrop Acquires Marain's AI Fleet-Optimization Software

BrightDrop, the General Motors‑owned last‑mile electric vehicle and software business, has acquired the fleet optimization software and related talent from California startup Marain. BrightDrop will integrate Marain's AI/ML-powered routing, simulation and predictive analytics into its software stack to help fleet customers lower operational costs and accelerate electrification; Marain cofounders and employees will join BrightDrop to lead data science and ML work.
