The Carlyle Group and Stellex Capital Management have acquired IMIA Group Holdings from J.F. Lehman & Company. IMIA, headquartered in Spanish Fort, Alabama, is a leading provider of multi-disciplined marine preservation, scaffolding, environmental containment and staffing services for U.S. Navy MRO and new construction, with a workforce of over 1,500 employees.

International Marine and Industrial Applicators (IMIA) Acquires Main Industries

International Marine and Industrial Applicators (IMIA), a portfolio company sponsored by J.F. Lehman & Company, has acquired Main Industries, Inc., a Hampton, Virginia-based provider of preservation, scaffolding and environmental containment services for marine new construction and MRO markets. The transaction is IMIA's first add-on under JFLCO sponsorship and is intended to expand IMIA's capabilities and presence supporting U.S. Navy and commercial shipyard customers.

The Timken Company Acquires Engineered Solutions Group (iMECH)

The Timken Company has agreed to acquire Engineered Solutions Group (also known as Innovative Mechanical Solutions or iMECH), a Houston-based manufacturer of thrust and radial bearings, specialty coatings and other components serving the energy industry. iMECH employs approximately 70 people and projects about $30 million in revenue for 2023; Timken will fund the purchase with cash on hand and its existing revolving credit facility and expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter.

The acquisition is a bolt-on to Legence’s platform to expand its service, maintenance and fabrication capabilities and broaden its regional footprint.
