MPE Partners and Precision Pipeline Services Acquire Allegheny Contracting

MPE Partners and its portfolio company Precision Pipeline Services have acquired Allegheny Contracting, a Ridgway, Pennsylvania-based provider of gas transmission pipeline integrity and gas distribution repair services serving the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest. The deal is an add-on to Precision’s platform to expand underground utility services and capabilities; Allegheny’s founder Brent Buehler and the management team partnered in the transaction, with financing provided by Churchill Asset Management and BMO Sponsor Finance.

Sterling Infrastructure Acquires Professional Plumbers Group

Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRL) acquired Professional Plumbers Group, Incorporated (PPG), a Wylie, Texas-based plumbing contractor serving residential home builders in the Dallas area, for $50 million in cash plus an earnout. PPG, which generates approximately $50–55 million in annual revenue, will join Sterling's Building Solutions segment to expand its residential plumbing capabilities and cross-sell to its existing builder customers in the Dallas market.

MPE Partners Recapitalizes Precision Pipeline

MPE Partners completed a recapitalization of Precision Pipeline, LLC, a Lancaster, Ohio-based provider of repair, replacement and maintenance services for gas, electrical, telecommunications and water utilities. The deal brings in MPE as the financial partner to support growth initiatives, including targeted M&A, with founder Matt Upp remaining as President and industry veteran Mark Crowson joining as CEO.

Waterline Renewal Technologies Acquires Pipe Lining Supply

Waterline Renewal Technologies, a portfolio company of Behrman Capital, has acquired Pipe Lining Supply, a national supplier of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lateral lining and DWV sewer rehabilitation materials and equipment. The add-on acquisition expands Waterline's trenchless pipeline rehabilitation product and distribution capabilities in North America; financial terms were not disclosed and Adams Street Partners provided debt financing.
