MPE Partners Recapitalizes Precision Pipeline

MPE Partners completed a recapitalization of Precision Pipeline, LLC, a Lancaster, Ohio-based provider of repair, replacement and maintenance services for gas, electrical, telecommunications and water utilities. The deal brings in MPE as the financial partner to support growth initiatives, including targeted M&A, with founder Matt Upp remaining as President and industry veteran Mark Crowson joining as CEO.

MPE Partners, alongside its portfolio company Precision Pipeline, has acquired SabCon Underground, a Winter Haven, Florida-based provider of underground natural gas utility services. The add-on deal expands Precision’s geographic footprint and capabilities in the natural gas utility services market; financing was provided by PGIM Private Capital and SabCon’s founder Kellie Burns and management partnered in the transaction.

Platform Partners Acquires Progressive Pipeline Management (PPM)

Commonwealth M&A served as exclusive sell-side advisor and the deal provides PPM with financial and strategic backing to support growth and innovation.

Shenandoah (GenNx360) Acquires Pro-Pipe Services from National Underground Group

GenNx360 Capital Partners’ portfolio company Shenandoah has acquired Pro-Pipe Services, LLC from National Underground Group. The add-on expands Shenandoah’s geographic footprint into the U.S. Southwest (branches in Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque, Dallas and Denver) and adds cross-bore inspection capabilities to its sanitary and stormwater pipe cleaning, inspection and rehabilitation services.

The acquisition will expand 80/20's product offering, create cross-selling opportunities, and accelerate growth of the combined business; terms were not disclosed.

Energy Services of America Acquires WV Pipeline, Inc.

Energy Services of America Corporation formed a wholly owned subsidiary, West Virginia Pipeline Acquisition Company, and entered an asset purchase agreement to acquire substantially all assets of WV Pipeline, Inc. for $3.5 million cash plus a $3.0 million seller note; the transaction was expected to close December 31, 2020. The acquisition expands Energy Services' capabilities and geographic presence in gas and water distribution utility services in southern West Virginia, and WV Pipeline's leadership (David and Daniel Bolton) will remain with the business.
