Apollo Funds Acquire IGT's Gaming & Digital Business from Brightstar Lottery

Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management completed the acquisition of International Game Technology PLC’s Gaming & Digital business from Brightstar Lottery (formerly IGT). Brightstar received approximately $4.0 billion of net cash proceeds, which it will use to reduce near-term debt, return $1.1 billion to shareholders (a $3.00 per-share special dividend plus a $500 million repurchase authorization), and fund other corporate priorities; Brightstar will continue to trade as Brightstar Lottery (BRSL).

Marqeta Acquires TransactPay

Intralot Acquires Bally's International Interactive for €2.7 Billion

Intralot S.A. has completed the acquisition of Bally's International Interactive (formerly Gamesys Group) for an enterprise value of €2.7 billion. The consideration included €1.53 billion in cash and €1.136 billion in newly issued Intralot shares, resulting in Bally's Corporation holding a 58% equity stake in Intralot; the deal positions the combined business as a global iGaming and lottery leader and unlocks significant liquidity for Bally's.

PayRetailers Acquires Paygol (Chile) and Pago Digital (Colombia)

Global Payments Acquires Worldpay in Three-Way Transaction with FIS and GTCR

Global Payments has completed the acquisition of Worldpay from GTCR and FIS for $24.25 billion in cash and stock as part of a three-way transaction that also saw FIS acquire Global Payments' Issuer Solutions business for $13.5 billion. GTCR will receive a mix of cash and Global Payments stock and will retain approximately 15% ownership in the combined company; the transactions reposition Global Payments as a leading pure-play commerce solutions provider and bolster FIS' issuing capabilities.
